Travel advice should reflect the person taking the trip.
Your trip has context: where you're going, how long you have, who you're traveling with and how you like to travel. TripContext is built so that advice — and the help you get on the ground — follows from that context rather than from a fixed package.
What we do
TripContext helps travelers plan Portugal around their real travel context — destination, time, group, pace and interests — and connects them with the right local expert when they want personalized support.
We publish practical planning guides and destination pages for Portugal, and when a traveler wants personalized support, we connect the request with a local expert suited to it: a guide, a driver, a small operator or a planner.
Our editorial principles
- Answer the real question early, in plain language.
- State the trade-offs, including what we would skip.
- Say when something can be done independently, and when a local guide genuinely adds value.
- Show who wrote and reviewed each page, and when it was last reviewed.
- Show sources where they matter.
- Never invent testimonials, ratings, partner counts or traveler numbers.
- Update pages when operational details change rather than leaving stale advice in place.
How we research
- Official tourism and destination information
- Operational sources such as park, museum and transport operators
- Local knowledge from guides and partners in Portugal
- Traveler discussions and community sources, used as qualitative signals only
- Independent travel sources
- TripContext research and editorial judgement
What we are not
We are not a tour marketplace, a traditional travel agency or a generic itinerary generator. We do not sell fixed packages, and we do not publish content designed only to rank.
